BEAR HUNT FAQ'S

WHEN DOES MY APPLICATION HAVE TO BE IN?
2010 bear hunt applications will be available the end of March. The deadline is May 1st. You can apply by going to the DNR license website at: www.dnr.state.mn.us/licenses/hunting/index.html?type=hunting.

WHAT'S YOUR SUCCESS RATE?
We've had some years when 100% of the hunters put bear in the cooler and other years when only 55% of the hunters were successful. In 2009, 75% of the hunters were successful with 90% seeing bears.

WHAT TIME OF DAY DO YOUR HUNTS START?
We like to have all hunters on site by 3:30PM. We've had a small number of bears taken in the morning, but we leave this to the hunters discretion.

WHAT TYPE OF WEAPON SHOULD I BRING?
We've had great success with either bow or rifle. Our most successful hunters at 100% have been with muzzleloaders.

DO YOU HAVE ANY COLOR PHASE BEARS?
Although most bears are black, we do have cinnamon and chocolate phase bears and usually get one a year.

HOW MUCH DID THE BIGGEST BEAR WEIGH?
The largest bear we've taken was 510#.

ARE MEALS AND LODGING INCLUDED?
An evening meal is included in the fully-guided and deluxe packages. And lodging is only included in the deluxe package.

SHOULD I BRING MY ATV?
If you have one available give us a call. We have a few remote baits that you may be interested in.

HOW DO I BOOK MY HUNT?
Call us, write us, or email us. We'd be glad to have you hunt with us. Remember a $200.00 deposit is required to guarantee your spot for the fall. Limited spots available.
